How importing works

Four steps and one counterpart. You never deal with a German seller, a shipping line or a customs broker.

  1. 1

    Pick a car

Search the catalog and send us the one you want. Every listing here is live on the German market today.

  2. 2

    We buy it

We check it, negotiate and buy in your name — and reclaim the German VAT so it never reaches your price.

  3. 3

    Shipping

The car travels from Germany to Armenia. You get the documents and its position as it moves.

  4. 4

    Customs and plates

We pay the EAEU customs duty and the recycling fee, register the car in Yerevan and hand over the keys.

Questions worth asking first

What does importing add to the price?

Shipping, EAEU customs duty, the environmental tax and registration. Duty is the large one, and it turns on the car's age and engine size rather than on its price — a six-year-old three-litre is charged several times what a four-year-old 1.5 is. Every listing shows the landed cost in dram, and the calculator on each card shows which tariff band the car fell into.

How long does it take?

Usually several weeks from the moment we buy: purchase and paperwork, transport to Armenia, then customs and registration. The exact time depends on the route and the queue at customs.

Can the car be inspected before purchase?

Yes. We check the car and its history before buying and show you what we find. If it does not match the listing, we do not buy it.

Whose name is the car in?

Yours. We handle the German purchase documents, the transport paperwork and the Armenian registration on your behalf, and the car is registered to you in Yerevan.

Why are these prices below local ones?

Because the German price excludes VAT, which we reclaim, and because you pay an import cost rather than a local dealer's margin. Every car here has reclaimable VAT — that is the condition for appearing in this catalog at all.

Cannot find the car you want?

The catalog is a slice of the German market, not all of it. Tell us the make, model and budget and we will look for it.
